News: 12 hours agoLeonard (coach's decision) is inactive but will serve as the Colts' emergency third quarterback against the Vikings on Sunday.
Spin: Leonard will continue to serve as the team's emergency QB3, and as such, he is prohibited from playing Sunday unless both Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson are removed from the game due to injury, illness or ejection.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Leonard is expected to operate as the Colts' No. 2 quarterback this season. It's a notable designation, as starter Daniel Jones continues to recover from a torn Achilles suffered in Week 14 last season. Should Jones miss time to begin the 2026 season, Leonard is positioned to start. Leonard made one start as a rookie, throwing for 270 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 21 yards and an additional score, primarily against Houston's backup defense in Week 18. The 2025 sixth-round pick adds value with his legs, but he'd be no more than a fringe QB2 even if called on to start.
