News: 13 hours agoMarks rushed 19 times for 66 yards and caught his only target for 15 yards in Sunday's 27-21 overtime loss to the Giants.

Spin: Mark remained busy in the absence of David Montgomery (groin), handling 20 touches while no other running back got a touch for the Texans. Over the last three games, the first of which Montgomery left early and the last two of which he missed, Marks has recorded 247 scrimmage yards on 56 touches. Marks missed some action in the second half Sunday due to a leg injury but returned to the game. Houston's Week 8 bye will give both Marks and Montgomery a chance to heal up, and Houston would likely return to a backfield platoon in Week 9 against the Chargers if Montgomery's ready to play.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Marks, a fourth-round NFL draft pick in 2025, played a substantial role as a rookie, soaking up 220 touches (22nd among RBs), but he struggled with efficiency (his 3.59 yards per carry and 1.61 yards after contact both ranked near the basement) and found the end zone only five times. The result was 9.4 fantasy points per game and one top-10 fantasy outing. Marks appears ticketed for a lesser role in 2026 now that David Montgomery was brought in to serve as the likely leader of a backfield committee. Especially in an offense that doesn't use backs in the passing game very much, Marks is no more than a bench/insurance stash.
