News: 1 day agoSwift (abdomen) is not listed on the Bears' Week 1 injury report Wednesday.

Spin: Swift dealt with cramps last week but is good to go for Sunday's season opener against the Panthers. With Kyle Monangai (knee) also removed from the injury report, Swift should operate as the clear RB1 versus Carolina, while Monangai is slated for a handful of carries behind him. Swift looks like a borderline RB1 fantasy option in Chicago's loaded offense.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Swift is entering his seventh NFL season and third with Chicago. The veteran back was busy as both a rusher and receiver en route to clearing 1,300 scrimmage yards in each of his first two seasons with the Bears. Though he found the end zone 10 times and finished 17th among backs in fantasy points per game last season, Swift deferred substantial work to Kyle Monangai and is likely to be in even more of a timeshare in 2026. Still in his prime at age 27, Swift continues to play at a high level (4.87 yards per carry last season), but his role in the Chicago offense figures to limit him to low-ceiling RB2/flex production.
