News: 1 day agoOtton failed to catch his only target during Sunday's 43-13 win over the Panthers.
Spin: Otton went without a reception for the first time this season, and he has now combined to reel in one of three targets for four yards over the last two weeks. Tampa Bay leaned on the run in the return of quarterback Baker Mayfield, and Mayfield completed seven of 11 passes for just 64 yards in the victory. Otton figures to have much better days ahead as his quarterback gets back up to speed, and the tight end's first shot at getting back on track will come Week 8 against Atlanta.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Otton re-signed with Tampa Bay after spending his first four NFL seasons with the team. Since entering the league in 2022, Otton ranks first among all tight ends in snaps (3,530) and second in routes (1,838). That simply hasn't translated to much target volume (he is yet to clear 86 in a season) or goal-line work (11 TDs and 19 end zone targets in 63 games). In fact, Otton was the only player with 75-plus targets who didn't score multiple touchdowns last season. The 27-year-old has finished 25th or lower in fantasy PPG in three of four seasons and is a poor bet for his first top-10 finish in 2026. He's well off the fantasy radar.
