News: 3 days agoThe Cowboys placed Fant (knee) on injured reserve Thursday.
Spin: Fant suffered a torn ACL and sprained MCL, eliminating any chance for the tight end to participate in the 2026 season. He is scheduled to have surgery for both injuries within the next several days. The fourth-year player out of Tennessee has played in 11 career regular-season games and will be a free agent in 2027. In a corresponding move, the Cowboys claimed tight end Zack Kuntz off waivers from the Raiders.
