News: 1 day agoRidley (hip) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Spin: Ridley opened Week 7 prep with a limited session Wednesday due to a hip injury, but he followed it up with back-to-back DNPs, leaving him questionable ahead of the weekend. With inactive status confirmed Sunday, Ridley will cede his role to some combination of Wan'Dale Robinson, Elic Ayomanor, Chimere Dike and K.J. Osborn behind top WR Carnell Tate. Ridley's next chance for game action is Sunday, Nov. 1, at Cincinnati.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Ridley's second season in Tennessee did not go as planned, as the veteran receiver missed 10 full games and was limited to a career-low 17 receptions. He remained a featured target when healthy (seven-plus targets in his four full games), but that led to only one double-digit fantasy performance. The lost season comes after Ridley delivered consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, finishing both as a top-30 fantasy receiver. Ridley is now 31 years old and has added target competition with Carnell Tate and Wan'Dale Robinson in the mix. A Year 2 leap from Cam Ward could get Ridley back into the flex discussion, but it's more likely that he's headed for a reduced role. Ridley is worth no more than a middle-round flier.
