News: 2 days agoRudolph is active for Sunday's game against the Saints in Paris, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Spin: Rudolph has emerged as the Steelers' preferred backup quarterback behind starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers coming out of the preseason. Through each of Pittsburgh's first seven contests, Rudolph has suited up, while both Will Howard and Drew Allar have been inactive. Howard is the Steelers' emergency No. 3 quarterback and will be called upon to play only in the event that both Rodgers and Rudolph are forced to exit Sunday's game.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Rudolph is expected to return as the clipboard holder in Pittsburgh, with Aaron Rodgers back as the starter. The veteran quarterback has never appeared in more than 10 games in a single season and made just one start in 2025 (he threw for 171 yards and one TD on 31 attempts). Rudolph has thrown 30 touchdowns and 22 interceptions in his six-year career, and isn't much of a rushing threat (career 75-209-1). The 31-year-old wouldn't even be a QB2 option in superflex if called on to start.
