Defensive tackle Damion Daniels committed to Nebraska over Colorado and UTSA in an emotional announcement on Wednesday. Daniels gives the Huskers three four-star defensive line pledges in the 2017 class.
He also gives Nebraska three commitments from Texas, making this a national recruiting class. Outside of Texas, the Nebraska staff has landed recruits from 11 other states in this class.
Daniels is part of what looks to be a strong close for the Huskers, who have landed six prospects in January, including ESPN 300 wide receiver Tyjon Lindsey.
Nebraska has three ESPN 300 commitments in the class and all three are on offense. Adding Daniels to this class helps give more help along the defensive line to go with defensive tackles Deontre Thomas and Deiontae Watts.
