Ohio State goes into Ann Arbor, lands 2017 prospect

While teams are often said to poach recruits from their rivals' backyards, Ohio State gave literal meaning to the practice on Tuesday.

The Buckeyes extended their streak of landing top football prospects from the state of Michigan on Tuesday by securing a commitment from 2017 athlete Antjuan Simmons, who hails from Ann Arbor and attends Pioneer High School -- which is directly across the street from the Big House.

This makes four years in a row that the Buckeyes have landed a recruit from the state up north.

Simmons held offers from Michigan and other programs including Arizona State, Georgia, LSU and UCLA.

The pledge gives Ohio State 12 total commitments in the 2017 class, 10 of which are ESPN Junior 300 prospects.
