UA jersey tour: Christian Pellage

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. -- ESPN 300 offensive tackle Christian Pellage was presented with his Under Armour All-America Game jersey Monday afternoon in a ceremony sponsored by American Family Insurance. The ceremony took place in front of family, friends and teammates at the Nature Coast Technical High School gymnasium in Brooksville, Florida.

The eighth-ranked offensive tackle and the 95th-ranked player overall in the ESPN 300 said he felt honored to be selected to one of the top All-American games in the country.

“It’s a huge privilege and I’m very blessed,” Pellage said. “It’s pretty much the best of the best and being able to work against that competition ... I’m just very honored"

Pellage has been committed to South Carolina since August. The 6-foot-7, 290-pound lineman said it was his comfort level with the program that ultimately led to his decision to commit to the Gamecocks.

"I’ve been there a couple times and the last time I was up there, it just felt right to me,” Pellage said. “I felt at home. I loved the coaches, Coach [Shawn] Elliot, Coach [Everette] Sands and especially Coach [Steve] Spurrier.

Despite remaining a solid commitment to South Carolina, Pellage said he is still receiving interest from other programs.

“There are some schools that we still keep in contact with,” Pellage said. “I still hear from Missouri, Florida, Miami, Alabama and Mississippi State. I’m still solid to South Carolina but I’ll probably take my five official visits but I haven’t set any dates.”
