Washington State has landed a verbal from cornerback Kevin Griffin (Concord, Calif./De La Salle). The 6-foot, 169-pound three-star athlete selected the Cougars over a scholarship offer from Montana.

Griffin posted the news, which has been confirmed by multiple reports, on Twitter:

Washington State now has seven commitments for 2014, all rated as three-star propsects by ESPN RecruitingNation.
