Jameer Outsey (Somerset, N.J./Franklin) and Keegan Render (Indianola, Iowa/Indianola) have become the seventh and eighth commitments for Iowa, according to media reports.
Outsey tweeted Friday:

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound outside linebacker was also offered by Akron, Buffalo and Pittsburgh. Maryland, Michigan State, Rutgers, Syracuse and Virginia showed interest.
Render, a 6-foot-4, 307-pound guard, picked the Hawkeyes over offers from Iowa State and Northern Illinois, along with interest from Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The first-team Class 4A all-state selection tweeted Saturday:
